Levar's campaign has fully funded! 🎉 A Beam employee is now supporting him on his journey through training and into work as a door supervisor.
But other Beam members need your help. Support the greatest number of homeless people to train up and get into work by giving monthly.
Exciting news! 💥
After several long months waiting for my SIA licence to come back, I've now finally been able to start full-time work in security. It's going really well and I enjoy the work which I can fit around doing personal training. I've also now moved out from the hostel and into my own place 🏠
Thanks so much to everyone who funded my campaign, it's made a huge difference to my life 🙂
“It’s quite a surreal feeling. I didn’t think it would fund so fast.”
My campaign is going live and it feels good. We are getting the ball rolling and it is quite a surreal feeling.
For quite a long time I was looking for a way to stabilise myself and get back into normality and now I have the chance and the ability to, it feels good.
To the people who will support my campaign, thank you.

Too often homeless people are forced to lie out of sheer desperation. We think it's better when relationships are built on trust and honesty. Beam verifies each member in 4 ways:
1. Referral: every member of Beam is referred by a registered homelessness charity or local authority.
2. Interviews: before their campaign launches, each member is interviewed twice by a Beam Member Manager.
3. References: we take references on each member from the charity who refers them and someone in a position of responsibility.
4. Profile: we take great care to verify information in a member's story is true.
It's your money.
We work hard to ensure that you can give confidently.
A caseworker or "Member Manager" is an employee of Beam who helps those referred to Beam to plan a crowdfunding campaign and supports them through training and into work.
All Member Managers are trained professionals who specialise in supporting vulnerable adults by focusing on their strengths and abilities.
