Marie's campaign has fully funded! 🎉 A Beam employee is now supporting her on her journey through training and into work as a hr officer.
But other Beam members need your help. Support the greatest number of homeless people to train up and get into work by giving monthly.
A quick update on how my course is going - I've just completed a module on supporting organisational change. I found it really interesting! It was all about the role of Human Resource departments in helping employees adapt to change coming from higher up in a company.
I've realised there is much more detail in human resources than I previously thought, and I spend a lot of time doing research for my assignments.
I'm signing up for two more modules this week as I'm really keen to finish this course soon and begin work in this area. Wish me luck!
I have started my course and so far completed 2 modules. For the 1st module I learned about service delivery for internal and external stakeholders and the CIPD HR Profession Map. 🗺️
For the 2nd module I learned about HR analytics. Only 7 more to go before I receive my diploma!
This weekend I received my CIPD membership card, and now I cannot wait to start attending networking events.
I'm extremely grateful for your donations. Thank you!
Thank you all for your generosity so far 😁
Just to let you know, I have been accepted onto the Foundation Diploma in HR Practice and this Saturday I will be attending an HR Study Skills Workshop! 🎉
I'm extremely excited - I'm biting my nails! I'm actually nervous - I just pressed the button to set my campaign live. I am finally doing this and I can't believe it. I am very grateful and tearful. How can I say thank you? Thank you in advance for any donations. You have no idea the impact you are having. Wow.

Too often homeless people are forced to lie out of sheer desperation. We think it's better when relationships are built on trust and honesty. Beam verifies each member in 4 ways:
1. Referral: every member of Beam is referred by a registered homelessness charity or local authority.
2. Interviews: before their campaign launches, each member is interviewed twice by a Beam Member Manager.
3. References: we take references on each member from the charity who refers them and someone in a position of responsibility.
4. Profile: we take great care to verify information in a member's story is true.
It's your money.
We work hard to ensure that you can give confidently.
A caseworker or "Member Manager" is an employee of Beam who helps those referred to Beam to plan a crowdfunding campaign and supports them through training and into work.
All Member Managers are trained professionals who specialise in supporting vulnerable adults by focusing on their strengths and abilities.
