Michael's campaign has fully funded! 🎉 A Beam employee is now supporting him on his journey through training and into work as an electrician.
But other Beam members need your help. Support the greatest number of homeless people to train up and get into work by giving monthly.
He raised £3,525 from 267 supporters to become an electrician.
Thank you for the support! Nearly there already.
When I first chose to train as an electrician it was because I had friends that were doing it - but now I have a passion for doing it and can't wait to be in work. I'd love to do some electrical jobs for my supporters in the future.
I'm so excited to see my campaign go live! Thanks to everyone who supports me, it will really help me get to a point where I'm my own person again 📈

Too often homeless people are forced to lie out of sheer desperation. We think it's better when relationships are built on trust and honesty. Beam verifies each member in 4 ways:
1. Referral: every member of Beam is referred by a registered homelessness charity or local authority.
2. Interviews: before their campaign launches, each member is interviewed twice by a Beam Member Manager.
3. References: we take references on each member from the charity who refers them and someone in a position of responsibility.
4. Profile: we take great care to verify information in a member's story is true.
It's your money.
We work hard to ensure that you can give confidently.
A caseworker or "Member Manager" is an employee of Beam who helps those referred to Beam to plan a crowdfunding campaign and supports them through training and into work.
All Member Managers are trained professionals who specialise in supporting vulnerable adults by focusing on their strengths and abilities.
