Moeiz's campaign has fully funded! 🎉 A Beam employee is now supporting him on his journey through training and into work as a taxi driver.
But other Beam members need your help. Support the greatest number of homeless people to train up and get into work by giving monthly.
I'm very close to starting my dream job. I'm just waiting for the result of my topographical test and I can get on the road!
Thanks to all Beam staff, especially Seb.
I'm doing my training to be a mini cab driver at the moment. 🚖 I just did the topographical assessment with TFL at the Uber Centre, and am now just waiting for my result. 🤞
Thank you to everybody for the help in doing my PCO Licence!
Thank you for all of my messages.
I'm still waiting for the TFL to book me in for the assessment and for my PCO Mini Cab License to come through.
I'll keep you updated on my progress!
Seb sent me a text last week saying "congratulations, you have just funded!" I nearly cried. People care about you and each other. Once I have a job I will do the same and pay forward to other people who need help.
I would like to say thank you to everyone and I hope one day I can meet you to say thank you - maybe one day I will be able to give you a lift in my taxi!
I am waiting for some documents to be completed and then I can start training. Hopefully that will start next week. I am really looking forward to learn about the job, improve my knowledge and see the vehicle I will be driving.
I'll let you know how my first week of training goes.
Thank you all very much!

Too often homeless people are forced to lie out of sheer desperation. We think it's better when relationships are built on trust and honesty. Beam verifies each member in 4 ways:
1. Referral: every member of Beam is referred by a registered homelessness charity or local authority.
2. Interviews: before their campaign launches, each member is interviewed twice by a Beam Member Manager.
3. References: we take references on each member from the charity who refers them and someone in a position of responsibility.
4. Profile: we take great care to verify information in a member's story is true.
It's your money.
We work hard to ensure that you can give confidently.
A caseworker or "Member Manager" is an employee of Beam who helps those referred to Beam to plan a crowdfunding campaign and supports them through training and into work.
All Member Managers are trained professionals who specialise in supporting vulnerable adults by focusing on their strengths and abilities.
