Hello, my name is J, I've been through a lot in my life, but I'm determined to turn things around. I came to the UK in 2011 and worked many jobs while studying. Unfortunately, in 2016, I lost my right to work due to immigration issues and ended up homeless. I've been living in hotels and rough sleeping, but now that I've got my BRP card back, I'm ready to find full-time work and a permanent home.
One of the biggest challenges I've faced was a mental health crisis that led to me injuring my hand severely. I had to undergo plastic surgery and have been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Despite this, I've managed to stay positive and focused on my recovery. I've been attending therapy sessions and taking medication for depression. I've also been keeping physically active by going jogging. I'm determined to improve my mental health and get back on my feet.
With Beam's support, I hope to find a stable home and a job that I love. I have experience in delivery work, cooking, and financial analysis, and I've been applying for jobs recently. My ultimate goal is to go to University from January. Knowing that there are people out there who want to support me in achieving my goals gives me a special feeling. In two years' time, I see myself leading a good life, working hard to improve my mental health, and becoming a successful financial analyst. I'm excited about launching my Beam donations page because it means there's someone out there willing to help me. Every donation brings me a step closer to achieving my goals and coming back to life. Thank you for your support.
