I came to the UK with my family when we had to leave my country suddenly. We had to live in a hotel for a long time which was really difficult for my family, especially my children. All we wanted was to be settled somewhere so we could start our lives again. It is not good for young children to not have a proper place to call home and it has been stressful as parents too.
I found a property through a friend but I was unsure of the process in the UK. I asked Beam for advice and they were able to help me very quickly to make sure we didn’t lose the property. We feel so lucky to have found somewhere which works for our family.
I have been working whilst staying in the temporary accommodation but I am really looking forward to starting my career again properly when I am settled. I used to be a safety officer so I am hoping to start a job like this again. We are so excited to have our own space and cook for ourselves again! I am grateful to Beam for giving us a chance to start a new life together.
