I really love helping people. It gives me a lot of joy supporting someone with the small things to make their life easier. I have always been a people person and draw a lot of my energy from spending time with family and friends. I especially enjoy spending quality time with my daughter just talking or listening to music together.
I live in a very small one bedroom flat with my daughter and there is very little space for the both of us to have any privacy. When the pandemic started I was working as a commercial cleaner. I had only recently gained the confidence to get back in to work after a difficult time with my mental health, and was really enjoying the routine of seeing colleagues and meeting new people again. Shortly after joining the team, I was put on furlough and finally in July I was made redundant. After losing my job my landlord increased my rent and I was affected by the benefit cap, meaning my financial support was significantly reduced.
My dream is to get into a full time job and be able to help people. In the short term, I want to start by working as a Support Worker, and then once I have done more training and had some work experience, I would like to become an accountant.
