Hello, I'm Sher. I've faced many challenges in my life, but the biggest one right now is finding a home. It's a tough situation, made even harder by the fact that I'm an asylum seeker, having had to leave my home country due to political activism. I've never slept rough, but not having a place to call my own is really hard.
Beam is helping me find a home and I'm really grateful for that. I want to have a stable home before I start looking for work. I believe having a home will help me manage my mental health better and give me the stability I need to start rebuilding my life.
Knowing that people want to support me in achieving my goal makes me really happy. I'm excited about launching my Beam donations page because it brings me closer to my goal. I can't wait to say thank you to everyone who supports me in this journey. In two years' time, I want to be living with my family in a place we can call our own.
