Hello, my name is Abrose. I am a Nurse and love helping people, it is my passion. However, when I had to move to the UK as an asylum seeker, I was unable to find somewhere to live and was placed in emergency accommodation. Despite these challenges, I've remained strong-minded and optimistic, channeling my resilience into finding a new path forward.
My biggest challenge was work and housing, I was not able to start work as a Nurse right away and needed to study, but my accommodation was far from college and noisy which made studying nearly impossible. Because I also cook I have been working as a chef in central London, but it is still difficult to sleep and my accommodation is far away from the work in central London so I have only been able to work part time. I have been looking for something closer and more stable but it has been hard to explain my situation to landlords.
With your help, I can secure the necessary funding to get started somewhere suitable. I'm excited to find somewhere closer where I can go to college and hopefully start working as a Nurse again. In two years, I hope to be working as a nurse again, supporting myself and other people, and maybe even start a food business of my own.
