I've experienced a lot of things in life. I think these experiences have equipped me to deal with almost any type of situation thrown at me. I've worked in the forces where day to day you are being tested to the max. However, I've found the recent period of homelessness and unemployment very frustrating.
A nasty injury in 2012 and a string of unfortunate events have restricted the amount I've been able to work. This has meant all of the qualifications including a forklift ticket and SIA badge have now expired. Without an income, it's near impossible to acquire them again. This alongside my access to tech has been my main barriers. I do not have a smartphone or laptop. With libraries closed during the pandemic, I've really struggled to connect to the COVID proof digital job hunting market.
I have a very diverse set of skills. Some of these skills have been gained through hobbies I have like working on computers. I can strip back a computer and put it back together. I'm usually the person people call when their computer breaks down. When they do, I pick up my little box of tricks and head over to support them. Speaking of "box of tricks" I'm also a keen magician, hence the name Ace! I love learning new techniques and perfecting my craft.
