Unexpectedly, my family and I have been given a section 21 notice from our landlord, which means we have to leave our home. The biggest challenge we face now is finding a suitable place to live within our budget and having enough money for the deposit. It's scary to think that we might end up homeless, but it's comforting to know that we can rely on a foundation like Beam for support.
Without their help, I don't know how we would manage within the two months' notice period, especially with the high cost of living in this area. We are forever grateful for any support we can receive. I can't wait for the biggest worry of becoming homeless to be gone, and having the security of a roof over our heads will be such a relief.
This entire experience has taught us a valuable lesson, and we will use it to prevent a similar situation in the future. Our main goal now is to afford our own home, but we know it won't happen within the next two years. However, this situation has given us the drive to work hard towards achieving our goal.
