My life was going well until 2017 - I was working and had a stable life in the UK. Unfortunately things collapsed with my settled status and I ended up overstaying my visa in the UK.
This meant I lost my job and ended up not being able to afford things like rent. It all spiralled until I became homeless earlier this year (after spending much time sofa surfing or with family). Thankfully my visa situation is now sorted and I have my own place so I'm ready to make the journey back to work.
I know short term I need to bring some money in but my goal is finishing the courses I'm doing and then maybe picking up contracts as an IT engineer. I'd love to get back into contracting in the future. I need a stable platform to do that though.
I'd love to get back into computing or networking because I have a technical mind - I did a masters in the UK in Computer Science but I need some extra courses just to top up my knowledge that will really help me.
In the past few years I've definitely learned to surround myself with positivity. If my relationships are good I'm happy. Meeting new people is something that really makes me happy so I'd love a job where I can work with other people.
