Up to now, I've been a chef and worked in a factory, but I've been out of work since the end of last year and I'm really keen to find something again as soon as possible. One barrier at the moment is I am very reliant on the bus and public transport, so I need to be careful with the shifts I look for as it can be quite a challenge to get home again if my shift ends late.
I have a CV, and I've been actively applying for warehouse roles online but I haven't heard anything back yet unfortunately. I am really keen to get my Counterbalance Forklift ticket, and my Green CSCS card so I can increase my chances of being hired and starting a new role.
I feel really grateful for my support network as I have wonderful grandparents who have been amazing since I was a kid. Mentally it's been tough over the last few years, but it's nice to know they're there to support me. Now I feel like I'm in a good place to get back into work and be able to support myself so I appreciate this help and advice.
