I'm 18 years old, and have been living with my family in the same house since I was born. However, they've explained to me that I need to move out and find a job. They're very supportive of me, but they can't afford to house me anymore now I'm an adult and the cost of living crisis has made things too difficult. I completely understand their decision, but I need some support to find a full-time role in hospitality, or working with animals if I can.
I've recently finished a course in animal care, and I absolutely loved it. I have cats at home too, so it's definitely my passion and I would love it to be a long term job for me one day. For now though, I just need a full-time role so I can save some money and become independent.
Together with my caseworker, I've already made a new CV, and started apply for jobs so I'm really hoping I can find something over Christmas. Even if it's a temporary contract first, I can start to contribute to the family home, and it will really set me up to find a long-term permanent job in the New Year.
