Right now, I really just want a stable job but my dream is to work in IT. I studied Information Science in Ethiopia and even worked for the government and the UN. When I got to the UK, I started learning about computer security.
But being homeless is stopping me from achieving these goals. Always moving around and not having a stable place to live is tough and tiring. So, to start fixing this, I'm working in construction and have had jobs as a supervisor before, but would love to up-skill and complete my traffic marshall training. It's a step towards having a stable home and more job options. I can't just sit and wait for my dream IT job, but I'm doing small things to get there. Even in the construction office I still get to work with computers and develop those skills.
Looking ahead, I'm hopeful that having a stable home will give me the chance to learn more and be ready for the right job when it shows up.
