Life has been very up and down for me recently, especially having to juggle looking after my four children with finding work and a stable home for us. And when lockdown happened, I had no choice but to just take each day as it came.
My housing situation has been draining for the past five years. I started off renting privately, but our landlord wanted his property back so we had to move out and relied on the council. We had to stay in a bed and breakfast for a little while, and we’ve been moved twice since then. This flat is the second temporary accommodation we’ve been placed in and I can't afford it - I’m falling into more and more rent arrears every day.
My confidence with job-hunting has been quite low especially because it’s been a long time since I’ve been in work. I’m really looking forward to having some stability back in my life, and having the confidence to put myself forward for jobs.
My dream is to one day be able to afford my own property and have a successful career. With my first paycheque, I can’t wait to sort out my bills and just start afresh!
