Andrea's story
I moved to the UK from Romania 6 years ago. I’m living in temporary accommodation with my husband and our two year old son.
The most difficult period of my life was around two years ago when I lost both of my parents within 14 months of each other. Having my first child without them around was so hard. To be honest, I find it hard even now.
I’m struggling to juggle everything I need to do. I absolutely love spending time with my son, but having to drop him off and pick him up every day from nursery means that job-hunting has been tricky. I’m looking forward to Beam’s support to cover childcare costs, which will mean I can extend the hours I can work! I want to find work as a carer so I can look after vulnerable people.
