Hello, I'm Anna. My family and I fled the war in Ukraine. We lived in the south of the country, a territory that was captured on the first day of the war. As a result, we had to leave our home on February 24, 2022. Since then, we haven't had a stable home for two years and had to move fifteen times, which was really tough, especially with a large family of seven. Recently, we managed to rent a house, but it's unfurnished, and we're struggling to make it a home.
There are many things that make me happy - my family, helping other people, freedom. I didn't realise how much I took these things for granted until the war. Our biggest challenge in the UK has been finding a property that can accommodate all of us. But despite the hardships, it feels like there are people who are not indifferent to our global problem. When you have lost everything, it's heartening to know that there are people out there who want to support us achieve our goal of having a stable home.
I hope our family will have our own home, just like it was before the war. I am excited about launching my Beam donations page because it gives my family hope of returning to a normal life. If you choose to donate to my page, I want to say a big 'Thank you' from the bottom of my heart.
