I moved out at the age of 16 and into my partner's house. Since then, we have been living with some of his family and renting a room. Recently, our relationship with a family member has rapidly declined; it is no fault of our own, and we are desperate to move out as they have asked us to leave. We no longer feel comfortable or happy living in this environment.
Now that I'm almost 20, it means I'm more than ready to be living even more independently than I already have. I've always prioritised my housing above things like my car, and it's finally a dream coming true.
Finding an affordable property was really tough for me. But after I was accepted to university, I was also able to find accommodation. It would mean the world to me to move into new accommodation and start university at the same time! It would give me freedom I don't currently have and the mental space to concentrate on my studies.
Looking forward, I want to be working full time, live happily in my own place I've worked hard for, and hopefully get my car back on the road. Possibly, I will have children too! Right now, I'm just so appreciative of this service being offered, and it seems a lot of people involved are very helpful to those who are in need. So I am very grateful for this service and the people involved; so far, everyone has been a big help for me to live happily in my dream home.
