I came to the UK to be with my ex-partner but they became extremely jealous and aggressive so I needed to get away with my young daughter. Thankfully we've had places to stay with friends and family, and we're looking to move into somewhere stable very soon. For work, I need something stable for now - getting some money in would really help my situation.
In the future, I want to do something where people can discover African food. One day everyone discovers all these culture's foods, but I think African food still have some way to go. Especially Congolese food - you can get Nigerian food easily in the UK but Congolese food is more rare.
I sometimes have impressions that with the difficulty of my life I stopped doing things I loved. I loved to read, I loved to play tennis and going out with friends to meet people. Getting back into this is important. Going to art galleries is something I haven't done yet in London so I'd love to explore them.
Stability is number one priority for now though. In a few years time, I'd be settled into my new place and have a good job. My little one would be at school so I'd love to be able to buy everything she needs. I'd also love to be able to help my mum in Congo in the future. And maybe even start my own African food company.
