I love running, working out and playing football. Exercise makes me feel really good and has been a great thing to focus on during the pandemic. I also love cooking and doing relaxing things like watching animal planet and listening to music.
I'm currently living in temporary accommodation that's being provided by the Council. When I first came to the UK I was living up north and working as a social care assistant. I decided to change careers and move down to London. I had a job and a room that I was renting, but I became homeless after I lost my job at the start of the first lockdown. Things were really difficult for a couple of weeks before I was able to be housed by the Council.
The biggest challenge that I've faced so far was leaving my home country. I didn't have any family there anymore, and there weren't enough job opportunities for me over there. I moved to London to start a new life, but I didn't have a proper salary when I arrived here so that made things difficult.
I'm excited to do this training and go into this line of work because I feel like there are lots of construction opportunities here in London. I'm excited to build a career out of this and doing this training is the first step.
My dream is to one day have my own family and look after them. I want us to feel comfortable, so I'm dedicated to working hard now. I feel incredibly happy and lucky knowing that there are people out there that want to support me. Launching my campaign with Beam makes me believe that I am going to be able to achieve my dream.
