Last year, my three daughters and I had to leave our home. We have been staying with friends and family since then.
My girls have suffered tremendously, especially my eldest who has found the challenge of this upheaval very difficult. Not having a stable routine with a home of our own has caused us a lot of stress.
I can’t even put into words how I feel that I have people wanting to support me. It’s been the biggest and hardest emotional struggle we have ever had, so knowing there’s a light at the end of the tunnels fills me with promise and so much gratitude.
All I want is to give my three girls the home, safety and stability they deserve. They have all been so resilient but now I just want them to be able to thrive and enjoy their lives. In the future, I would love to be in the position to give back so I can help others who are in similar situations.
