Over the last few years, I feel like I have been jumping from job to job, trying to see what I like. Recently have worked as a decorator, but my job has felt so unstable with a few shifts here and there, I feel like I need something a little bit more secure right now.
I was also working as a care assistant for a long time, but last year I lost my job due to the pandemic. During this period of uncertainty, my universal credit was incorrect for a little while and there was a shortfall with my rent so I have some arrears which have made the situation a bit more stressful. I feel like for the last few years, I've really just been chasing money and never felt really settled or comfortable.
Now I'm looking for a bit more stability, and a career where I can progress and use my practical and social skills. I'm excited to start a career in security, and get my SIA licences. I have an incredibly supportive family, so I do feel lucky that I have had some support when I'm desperate, but I am really appreciative of this employment support to help me with a new career.
