I found myself homeless after being kicked out after a heated confrontation with my father over the abuse he put my family through. I had to sleep in my mother's car for a period of time while I was trying to find a temporary place to stay. Thankfully, my grandparents allowed me to stay in their front room. While I'm extremely grateful, this is not a long-term solution.
Whilst my hardest experience was coming out of school with no qualifications, it was also an incredibly humbling time for me. I clawed my way through college starting from a level 1 BTEC to a Level 3, finally allowing me to attend University to study computer science. Unfortunately, due to my mental health, I found myself struggling and had to drop out, however perusing a degree is still something I very much desire to do in the future.
I would like to work as a security guard, whilst continuing my studies in computer science or design. The idea of having a qualification that's desired by employers is very exciting, as it would lead me to have an income that would boost myself in life rather than just meeting the bare minimums to exist. In short, I see myself as a snowball on a snowy hill, and the beam campaign is the push I need to grow.
