The past couple of years have been tough. My partner passed away. Unfortunately, the house was not in my name so his family reclaimed the property and are trying to force me out. With nowhere to go, I've had to stay or face sleeping on the street.
The house is deteriorating by the day. A leak developed in the house which led to the fire brigade needing to attend to the property and cut the electricity supply. Some of the windows have now blown out and I have floods amassing in most of the rooms. This means that the house is mostly damp and mould is growing all over. I've notified the family but they're refusing to assist with repairing the issues until I leave.
This situation is seriously impacting my health, my lungs especially. I've developed a chronic cough and caught an infection in my ribs. Thankfully I'm receiving support from Central London Works with health. I just want to get into a safe and secure environment.
I'm an animal lover and have spent recent working years in a stable yard caring and interacting with horses. I was a show jumper in my earlier years. I also had several dogs that all served huge helpings of comfort and love every day. My partner always encouraged me to follow my dream of working with animals and I want to get back into this line of work once I've healed from this experience.
