I love playing football, listening to music and going to the gym. I'm looking forward to things returning to normal when the lockdown restrictions lift so I can get back to doing those things I can't at the moment.
I was in care from a young age and went into supported accommodation after that. I spent some time in a young offenders institute and now I'm living in temporary accommodation. Living independently whilst only receiving benefits has been a real challenge. I haven't had to budget like this before and these aren't things people get taught in school or college.
I'd love to move into more stable accommodation as soon as I can. I know that the first thing I need to do is start earning some money through a decent job. I have some experience from doing a bit of construction at college and I love working with my hands and being active. Getting funding with that first step is a huge help for me so I'm grateful for this opportunity and excited to see where it leads.
In the future I'd like to have enough saved so that I can get my own place as well as a car. Having a family and securing our future through having a good career would be the dream.
