The past year and a half has been a rollercoaster for us. We've faced the challenge of not having a stable home, and it's been incredibly tough. We've been moving from one temporary accommodation to another, without a permanent address. Jack, my partner, had his van and tools stolen, which made it difficult for him to continue his work as a self-employed roofer. Last November, we received the news of our pregnancy, and it was a worrying time as we didn't have a stable home for ourselves and the baby.
Finding a new home has been so important for us, with the baby due in just four weeks, we're overjoyed and grateful to finally have a stable home and a job. The support we've received from Beam has been incredible. It's given us hope and faith during some of our darkest times. Knowing that there are others who want to support us and see us achieve our goals is truly surreal. We're excited to share our story and show that life does get better with a little help and support from others.
Our goal is for Jack to rebuild his roofing business and spend more time with his children. Jack's passion for roofing is unmatched, and he's eager to get back to doing what he loves most—helping families and customers by providing the safest roofs. In two years, we hope to see Jack back as his own boss, running his roofing business, while I aim to return to office and customer service work. We want to create a loving and happy home filled with laughter and kindness, and give back to others as we've been helped and supported.
Personally, what makes me happy is having my family around, reading, and the prospect of becoming a mom. Jack finds happiness in knowing his family is safe and healthy, spending time with his children, and DJing in his spare time. Family and friends mean the world to us, and living in a safe environment brings us immense joy.
We're excited to launch our Beam donation page, as it will give us the opportunity to share our journey and inspire others. Achieving our goal with Beam will be a huge relief, allowing us to live comfortably and worry-free, and do the things we enjoy.
