My family has always been very important to me. Unfortunately, the circumstances over the past two years have restricted me from spending enough time with them. It's been very stressful. First I went through a separation, I was then placed on furlough and as a result, I was facing homelessness. Thankfully, the council has put me into a temporary solution but it's not a sustainable solution for me long-term.
I've worked all my life and am used to being active. I don't like sitting at home without anything to do, I like structure in my life. It just isn't me. I've done many jobs in the past. One I've always enjoyed is driving. I'd love to be able to use the skills I've gained previously in a professional environment again. This is why the LGV license appeals to me. I'm so excited to get started.
Once I get back on my feet or behind the steering wheel, I just want to get back to where I was a few years ago. Small things like developing a social life again. Most importantly, I want to be able to see my children and provide a secure future for them. It's a long journey ahead but the LGV course should give me the skills to get on the road to success.
