The last few years have been tough. It started when I was living with my ex-partner and daughter. I was not coping too well and things got a bit too much for me to handle. As a result, I was separated from my daughter, leaving me alone. I began to fall into a state of depression and things spiralled out of control. I was not able to keep my job during this period and was eventually evicted.
I was sleeping on the streets when I was referred to Streetlink, who helped me into supported accommodation. I'm so grateful for the support I received during this time, I can never thank the team enough. Their support allowed me the environment I needed to start healing.
My daughter is now staying with my parents until I can find secure employment and provide us with a stable home. Their guidance through this period has been key to my recovery, I appreciate everything they have done for me.
I want to work in security because I feel it combines a range of skills I already have. Once I'm working and reunited with my daughter I can start thinking about restarting some of my passions. I love to sing and want to get back to building my name in the music industry.
