Hello, I'm Emy. I first came to the UK in 2014 and initially found work in pizza places and a clothing store. But life took an unexpected turn when I was made redundant and lost my ID, which has prevented me from returning to work. I've faced some tough times, including having to leave my home in Midlands due to issues with other residents, and even spending a night on the streets of London. But I'm not one to give up easily. I've been actively applying for jobs and I'm determined to find stable work and a place I can truly call home.
What makes me happy is simple things like going out with friends or receiving a love letter. I enjoy walking, cycling, and reading - all of which help me maintain my physical and mental health. I've been offered jobs, including one at a pizza place, but without an ID card, I've had to decline. I yearn for the independence that comes with having a job and being able to settle down. I'm ready and willing to work any day of the week, for over 30 hours.
Knowing that there are people out there who want to support me in achieving my goal gives me confidence and motivation. The prospect of launching my Beam donations page excites me because it represents a chance for me to get back on track and fulfil my dreams. With your help, I can secure the essentials I need to start a job - an ID card, a laptop, a smartphone, and funds for travel. I believe that your contribution to a better universe is never a waste, and I'm excited to become a discreet member of society in the next couple of years. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for your support.
