I've always been drawn to teaching and working with children. I love developing unique learning styles that they can respond to. From a young age, I knew it was something I was supposed to do. That's what led me to study Education at University and specialise in teaching English to young learners.
It has been difficult to get my life back on track after spending lots of time out of stable employment. I went through a break-up towards the end of last year, which turned emotionally abusive and meant that I ended up in emergency accommodation. The whole situation really affected my confidence and my mental health, but I'm working hard to get back on my feet again. I hope to find stable employment and move into more permanent accommodation, so I can put money towards getting the teaching qualifications I need to be able to teach in this country.
I know that when I'm employed in something I care about, I'll feel so much more positive and confident. I can't wait to be part of a community and contribute to something meaningful.
