I love nothing more than to solve a problem. It's probably why electrician work appealed to me in the first place. I also love to socialise and try new things! Getting back into work and completing my training is a challenge that I'm really excited for.
I moved into supported accommodation last year due to experiencing problems with my mental health. I had been living at home with family but things became too much. I've been supported by a doctor and a mental health team since then, who have made a huge difference to my day to day life. Although my accommodation is temporary at the moment, I'm almost ready to move on and look for my own flat where I can live independently.
I have over 5 years experience working as an assistant electrician, so I'll be able to consolidate my experience by doing my Level 3 Experienced Worker training alongside a job. Having my qualification will mean a lot to me as I've worked hard over the years and it's a career I love. My dream is to start my own electrical company then get into property development. It's a goal that I've had for a long time so I'm happy to be able to take this first step.
With my wage I'll be able to pay my rent and hopefully when I'm stable I'll be able to donate to others that need help too.
