All I want is to be able to live somewhere that I can call home. I want to get a good job, so I can rent somewhere more comfortable that feels like a real home for my family. The basement flat where I live with my son has always been very run down, and recently I have been facing eviction notices. It causes a lot of anxiety for me and my family every single day. I’ve thought about leaving London, but I don’t want to make life more difficult for my son.
My three wonderful kids are the biggest blessing in my life. They have kept me going over the past few years when the situation with our housing has been difficult. My kids have taught me to be patient, open-minded and to find happiness in the little things. Taking them to school, watching them grow and excel in their education and personal wellbeing has been rewarding for me and it has changed my life over and over again. They give me joy - especially on days when I feel more down.
I want to train as a lorry driver because I love travelling up and down the roads of the UK. I used to work as a delivery driver and gaining experience of the routes, cities and towns around the country has given me more confidence driving in difficult conditions. I’m also really interested in all the different models of vehicles I will be driving. Driving boosts my mood, so I can't wait to get back on the road and feel great again.
