Gemma's story
I hope to find a steady job and, down the line, have a place that I can call home. I have a lot of experience as a carer, and I really enjoyed it. I love helping people and being able to put a smile on their face.
The past couple of years have been tough for me. I had some serious housing challenges and ended up without a home for a while. It was difficult to keep my job with everything going on, but I have been putting in a lot of effort to get back on my feet.
My goal for the future is to continue working in the care sector, and eventually earn a Level 3 qualification. Knowing that there are people out there willing to support me means so much to me, and I feel hopeful that I can get back to doing what I love very soon.
