I’m always smiling. I consider myself a really positive person and love being around other people. But I also love taking some time to be by myself and appreciate nature and the world around me.
I’m really looking forward to becoming a lorry driver as it means I’ll be able to do both of the things I love. I haven’t travelled much outside of London so am excited to see more of the UK, meet people from different places and hear their stories.
Being homelessness has taught me that nothing in life is guaranteed. I’ve always had a job and worked hard. I wasn’t prepared for losing my job in March and not being able to find another one. I was shocked at how quickly it all fell apart and it left me no choice but to start living on the street.
The council organised a hotel for me and now I’m living in temporary accommodation. My main goal at the moment is to find a place I can call home again and I can’t wait to start working so I can achieve that.
A stable job will also mean that I can save up some money. I’d love to be able to go and visit my Mum in Africa. I haven’t seen her in four years and would love to do more to support her.
