I have not had a place to call home in a while now since leaving my previous property due to the tenancy ending and the landlord not wanting to renew the contract as he wanted to sell the property. It has been so difficult for me to come to terms with as I made a life in this home for my children and I.
When I received my eviction notice, I felt lost. I genuinely did not know what to do. I was told I had to find a new home and my first thought was - how? I was worried that I would end up in temporary accommodation, I have not heard the best stories about where families are being placed so I wanted to find somewhere before it had gotten to that.
I asked around frantically and to my surprise someone I knew had a property coming up, but they had never rented to anyone in my position before so it was a little hard to explain.
When Beam got in contact with me, all I could think was 'great timing!' I explained to them that I knew of a property available but I just needed help explaining my circumstances and also I was a little worried about how I could accumulate the move in funds so quickly. Beam explained that they can support with this and I could not believe my luck.
Everything they said they could do, they have actioned - I now await the decision of if I am able to obtain this new home.
