My name is Mia and I've always been someone who loves life and the simple joys it brings. I find happiness in the support of my friends and family, and in the company of my adorable rabbit. I also have a deep passion for animals, which led me to earn a Level 2 Diploma in Animal Care and Management. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym, cooking, travelling, shopping, and dreaming of the day I can focus on building a career in the animal industry.
However, life hasn't always been easy. The biggest challenge I've faced was when I was supposed to be housed at 18, but here I am at 20, still waiting. This situation has had a profound impact on my mental health, but with the help of my support network, I've been working hard to stay positive and healthy. It's not been an easy journey, but I am grateful for every opportunity that comes my way, including this one with Beam.
My goal with Beam is to secure a stable home where I can start a life outside of care and build a positive future for myself. I'm excited about launching my Beam donations page, not just for the financial support, but also to raise awareness about mental health. I want people to know that it's okay to struggle, and that there's always a better path forward. I hope that in two years, I will be working again and living in a place I can call home. Achieving this goal would mean the world to me, it's not just about having a house, it's about starting a new life and overcoming the challenges I've faced.
