Over the past few years, I've faced some significant challenges with my mental health. It's been a tough journey, but I've been fortunate enough to receive support from a local mental health charity, which has given me the tools and knowledge to understand myself and my emotions better. I've found solace in nature walks and photography, activities that help me manage my mental health and keep me grounded.
I've lived in temporary accommodation since June last year, after moving out from my parents' place. It's been a bit of a struggle, but Beam is supporting me with moving into my own home. I'm also looking to move into employment, ideally in a role where I can support others.
Knowing that there are people out there willing to support me in achieving my goals feels like a weight is being lifted off my shoulders. I'm excited about launching my Beam donations page because it represents an opportunity for me to move forward with my life. I can't express enough how grateful I am for any help I receive. In two years, I envision myself being self-sufficient and managing myself well. Achieving this goal with Beam will make me feel proud and responsible for my own life. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
