Since I was a kid, I had wanted to be in the military. I grew up in a rough area, and spent a lot of my time focusing on how to progress my military career before I was injured. It took quite a long time to heal and unfortunately, I had to forget about the dream of the military. Since then I've had quite a few turbulent years, suffering mental health issues, homelessness and the death of my father which have all really knocked me back a bit.
I had found work in a printing company, but as I was travelling all around the country, the agency was shut down due to COVID and I lost my job. I couldn't keep up with rent, so I was sofa surfing and sleeping in my car until I moved to a homeless hostel over Christmas. Now I am living in a 1-bed flat, and I've been working in a warehouse part-time, but I'm really keen to get my security licences and forge a new career path for myself.
I am very focused and have a long-term plan to gain experience whilst I am young and fit, undergo as much training as I can, then hopefully start my own small business when it's time to wind down a bit.
