Joanna's story
Hey everyone, I'm Joanna and I'm using Beam to get back on my feet. I'm a survivor of modern-day slavery, and I'm currently living in a safe house. My dream is to find a job and a home where I can rebuild my life and bring my young son over from my home country next year. I've been through a lot, faced many battles and survived from them but I'm determined to create a better future for me and my son.
With the support from Beam, I am hoping to secure a full-time job in an industry passionate to me and take the first step towards independence. I then hope to move into my own home, and start building a new life for me and my family.
