I was living with my youngest son's mum until a couple of years ago. We broke up and I had to sleep at on my mum's sofa for a couple of years, and lived on the streets for a few nights during this period too when it got too much there. Recently I was housed in a temporary 1-bedroom flat which is acting as an interim property until I am allocated a long-term council house sometime soon.
My son is living with me at the moment, as his mother had a mental health breakdown and could no longer look after him. Social services decided to give me full custody of my five year old to take some of the pressure off her. Things have not been 100% for us, but there have been some good times too. My son is my world and everything I do is to try and make his life better.
I have a Door Supervisor licence at the moment, and I work a few ad-hoc shifts here and there at events throughout the week but I am really looking for some help getting my CCTV licence, and finding a permanent part-time security job in the evenings and on weekends. I don't have any access to a smartphone or laptop at the moment either, so getting those items will really change things around for me, so I can start to actually apply for jobs online.
