I have been through a lot. As a care leaver and a veteran, I've faced challenges that most people my age couldn't even imagine. I've been in the army, served my country, and have now found myself in a situation where I am struggling to call somewhere home. I've experienced homelessness and this has led me to rely on temporary accommodation to get back on my feet.
Despite these challenges, I'm actively looking for work and am eager to secure a job that will help me to build a stable future. I'm really interested in roles like warehousing and security, and I'm trying to get my SIA badge to improve my chances of finding a job in the security sector.
I've suffered with my mental health on and off, but find clarity in going to the gym, the concentration and the adrenaline help me through it, and these coping mechanisms motivate me to get through anything.
Throughout it all, I'm staying focused on my goals. I'm determined to find a home and start a new chapter in my life. And with the support of the Beam community, I'm ready to take the next steps forward and build a brighter future for myself.
