After years of working in a high-powered sales position. I took the decision to move from London and relocate to the coast. This was a big shift and I knew there would be challenges. However, I did not anticipate the job market to be so vastly different to what I experienced before. It's been very difficult to adapt but I'm finally feeling like I've found my calling.
I'm going to continue in the sales industry but target a more design-based role. This should help things be a lot more sustainable, whilst also giving me a high level of job satisfaction. I plan to start training part-time alongside working, so I can build a base of design skills, whilst supporting my need to work.
It's reassuring to know there is help out there and a community which supports others to get into employment. This really feels geared towards finding long-term changes for people. I'm excited to get started.
