Hello, I'm a mum-to-be and I also have a child back home in Namibia. I came to the UK as an asylum seeker and have been granted permission to stay. I'm currently living in a temporary accommodation, however the environment doesn't feel safe for me, especially now that I'm expecting. My goal is to find a stable job and a safe home for myself and my unborn child. I've always enjoyed working and earning a living, and I'm eager to get back into the workforce.
Life hasn't always been easy for me. I've been through a lot of trauma in my past, including an abusive relationship and mental health struggles. But I've sought help and continue to do so. I've found strength in my faith and in love, and these have helped me maintain a positive outlook. I'm determined to improve my situation for myself and my child. What makes me really happy is cooking for the people I love. I'm looking forward to having a kitchen of my own where I can do just that. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can give. It means the world to me.
