Hello, I'm Laura. I'm a mum to two wonderful daughters and we've been through a bit of a tough time recently. After leaving a difficult situation, we found ourselves without a home. My girls mean the world to me and they deserve a peaceful and safe environment to grow and thrive in. But finding a new home has been a challenge. I've faced a lot of rejection from landlords due to my situation of having no guarantor and the fact that I'm currently receiving Universal Credit.
However, I'm not one to give up. I've been working with Beam and my caseworker to find a solution. I'm hopeful that with your help, we can secure a home and start rebuilding our lives. It's not just about having a roof over our heads, it's about providing stability for my daughters, especially my eldest who suffers from anxiety. I'm also looking forward to getting back into work once I've regained my confidence. I used to work at a local hospital, and I loved being able to help others.
Knowing that there are people out there who want to support us is truly overwhelming. I can't put into words how much it means to us.
