For several years, my family and I endured verbal and physical abuse from our neighbour, which eventually led to us becoming homeless. The mistreatment began shortly after I gave birth to my youngest daughter and persisted, making it difficult for me to leave the house alone, except for university and placement. Our children couldn't play outside, and we suffered from sleepless nights due to continuous parties that lasted for 48 hours. These challenges weighed heavily on me, especially as I was training to become a nurse.
The most challenging part was having to move away from my support system with four children while I was in my final year of nursing school. We had to leave behind our family and friends, completely changing our lives. I still vividly remember the week we packed our belongings and left our council home of seven years due to a sudden physical attack that morning. However, despite all of this, I am incredibly proud of myself for persevering and successfully completing my training to become a fully qualified nurse.
Now, as a family, we can't wait to find a place we can call our own, where we can finally feel comfortable and make it our own. It's time to focus on the future, and with your kind donations, we hope to secure a nice home where everyone can be happy.
