I worked in a hospital for a number of years but needed to stop after my father's passing. I was not able to continue working in that environment. It was too triggering. Around the same time, I was diagnosed with depression. This was tough but it meant I was able to get the support I needed.
I've always liked driving and enjoy the idea of being able to work independently. Through Beam's support, I want to complete my HGV training and become a lorry driver. While I'm completing my training I'm open to taking other jobs like a delivery driver to help boost my income.
Family is really important to me. I have a daughter who means the world to me. We currently spend the weekends together and there are loads of exciting things I'm looking forward to doing with her once I can get into work. This is a fantastic opportunity to turn my life around and I cannot wait to get started with my training.
