Mariia's story
I used to live in Ukraine with my family and two daughters. I ran my own successful food business, doing everything from selling to preparing food and managing paperwork. Life was good back then.
When the war started, I had to leave my home and go to the UK for safety. Lots of others had to do the same thing. We were welcomed by a kind host family who gave us a place to live for a few months. But soon we will have to find our own home.
It's tough to find a home without a job, so I'm really trying to find any work that can help me improve my situation. I hope to find a job in a cafe or as a receptionist, where I can also practice speaking English and also help us find a new home!
