Maryna's story
The exceptional generosity, warmth and welcome of the British people has been overwhelming since our first day and it feels surreal that still now there is a chance to obtain funding from the public to help us set up with our own home here in London!
I am overwhelmed and my son is so very happy to have landed here too. We understand how lucky he is not to be facing the daily challenges being experienced by the rest of our family (his 4 grandparents, and my husband, his father most poignantly). They have all remained in Ukraine together with other relatives and close friends.
We hope to be able to have our own home and build a life here in the UK. Thank you for your support helping us along the way. It means a lot.
