I've dealt with a lot of things in my life up to now, and struggled with my mental health since I was a child when I was diagnosed with attachment disorder, anxiety and depression. As an adult it started to deteriorate even more, so I started to drink heavily and take drugs.
More recently though, I've stopped self-medicating, and started taking medication with support from my GP. I'm in the process of creating my own comic book, and I'm also on the waitlist for talking therapy so I feel like I'm making a lot of positive steps to improve my situation.
I've had a paid role before as a customer service advisor, but one day I'd love to use my lived experience to help other people. I feel like I'm quite a determined, resilient person who understands people, so if I can find a way to pass guidance and advice onto others that would be amazing.
